Triple O Six Multiple Bathrooms

Project Overview

This project involved creating a cohesive interior design across multiple living spaces, including two bedrooms and their attached bathrooms. The design combined natural wood-effect flooring, antique-inspired tiles, and handcrafted mosaic features to create a balance between warmth, luxury, and individuality.

The project incorporated a range of carefully selected tile and mosaic finishes, including Arendal Summer wooden tiles (1200 x 223mm plank size), ANTGR 124 antique-style tiles, copper mosaics, cobalt blue lantern mosaics, and turquoise green subway tiles. Each material was selected to enhance the character of its specific space while maintaining a premium overall design aesthetic.

Problem

The spaces required a design approach that could:

  • Create a strong visual connection between bedrooms and bathrooms.
  • Add personality and decorative interest without compromising functionality.
  • Combine natural textures with bold feature elements.
  • Provide durable and practical surfaces suitable for high-moisture areas such as bathrooms.
  • Transform ordinary walls and floors into distinctive interior features.

A standard tile selection would not provide enough contrast, character, or design depth required to achieve a luxurious and personalised interior.

Design Solution

The project used a combination of textured tiles and statement mosaic features to create unique identities for each room.

Room 1: Warm Luxury Bathroom and Bedroom Connection

The bathroom feature wall was enhanced with copper mosaics, creating a rich metallic focal point that adds warmth and elegance to the space.

The bathroom floor and bedroom floor were completed using Arendal Summer wooden tiles (1200 x 223mm plank size), providing the natural appearance of timber while delivering the durability and maintenance benefits of porcelain tiles.

Design focus:

  • Wood-effect flooring: Creates a warm, natural foundation throughout the spaces.
  • Copper mosaic feature wall: Adds a luxurious decorative element and enhances the bathroom atmosphere.
  • Large plank format: Provides a spacious and seamless appearance.

Room 2: Vintage-Inspired Bathroom Design

The bathroom floor was finished with the ANTGR 124 antique-style tile, introducing a classic decorative character with a timeless appearance.

Design focus:

  • Antique flooring: Creates a vintage-inspired foundation with unique patterns and texture.
  • Balanced styling: Combines traditional flooring with modern decorative wall finishes.

Bathroom 2: Bold Mosaic Feature Design

The second bathroom was designed with a combination of antique flooring and vibrant mosaic wall features.

The floor was covered with ANTGR 124 antique-style tiles, while the mirror wall was transformed using cobalt blue lantern-type mosaics. Another feature wall was completed using a turquoise green subway tile, creating a bold and colourful contrast.

Design focus:

  • Cobalt blue lantern mosaics: Create a striking statement around the mirror area.
  • Turquoise green subway tiles: Add freshness and a contemporary coastal-inspired feel.
  • Antique floor tiles: Provide balance by grounding the vibrant wall finishes.

Summary

This project demonstrates how carefully selected tiles and mosaics can transform residential interiors by combining functionality with artistic design. The use of Arendal Summer wooden tiles, ANTGR 124 antique tiles, copper mosaics, cobalt blue lantern mosaics, and turquoise subway tiles created distinct yet harmonious spaces.

Through a combination of natural textures, vintage patterns, and bold feature walls, the final design delivers a luxurious interior experience with durability, character, and timeless appeal.
